Shiitake


Shiitake Mushrooms are not only known for their fragrant and taste but also have diverse health benefits. Shiitake are full of vitamins and minerals. They also provide many health-promoting compounds that may help fight cancer, lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease.


There are three powerful compounds in Shiitake that may aid in lowering cholesterol according to Healthline.


ERITADENINE – This compound inhibits an enzyme involved in producing cholesterol.

STEROLS. These molecules help block cholesterol absorption in your gut.

BETA GLUCANS. This type of fiber can lower cholesterol .


I bet you didn’t know that shiitake mushrooms contain many of the same amino acids as meat.


In Chinese medicine, Shiitake is believed to improve circulation, longevity and boost overall health.


Lion’s Mane

Research has found that Lion’s Mane may protect against dementia, reduce mild symptoms of anxiety and depression and help repair nerve damage. Lion’s Mane contain bioactive substances that have favorable effects on the body, primarily with brain function, heart and gut. It’s extracts may fight cancer and improve immunity, inflammation, blood sugar levels, and cholesterol levels.


According to Healthline, “Studies have found that Lion’s Mane contains two special compounds that can stimulate the growth of brain cells: hericenones and erinacines.”


Cordyceps


Cordyceps has been shown to increase exercise performance. Cordyceps may also help with anti-aging, and inflammation. Cordyceps may increase the body’s production of the molecule adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is essential for delivering energy to the muscles, which in turn may help in the way your body uses oxygen during exercise.


Turkey Tail


Turkey Tail is a medicinal mushroom with a remarkable range of benefits . It’s packed with powerful antioxidants and other compounds and may strengthen your immune system.

Several research studies have demonstrated that Turkey Tail may enhance the efficacy of both radiation and chemotherapy in people with certain cancers.


The root of many modern illnesses, including cancer, heart disease and auto- immune disorders are believed to be caused by chronic inflammation and oxidative stress.
