Life Lessons Learned While Hiking in The Wilderness 🎒🐍🦎🌿🌵💦☀️

Are you stressed out, living life on auto-pilot, constantly giving up on yourself and your goals, are you a prisoner of your thoughts, then you’re going to want to listen to this video until the very end.

1. Live in the Moment

Hiking has taught me to live in the moment. To stop worrying about things that don’t exist, and start appreciating the sound of running water, the beautiful flower that willed itself to bloom out of a rock, the vast beauty of nothingness, the peace and serenity of listening to the birds chirp away. Sometimes it throws me out of my comfort zone, but it helps me to grow and look at my challenges with a new perspective and opportunity to navigate the mountain. Just like life, we are faced with many challenges but to navigate through those challenges could be as simple as changing your perspective on it.

2. Be Persistent Be persistent in reaching your goals.

Persistency is the key to any long hike. Just like in life, there’s highs and there’s lows. There will be times when you want to give up especially when you are traversing through the mud, prickly bushes that leave you bleeding, overgrown trails, numerous water crossing that requires strategic balancing on rocks so you don’t fall in the wash. However, it’s all part of the adventure and well worth the view at the top or the raging waterfall at the end of the trail. Giving up is easy having the will, drive, and tenacity to keep going to reach a goal is complete satisfaction.

3. Reconnecting with Ourselves

Being out in nature is probably the best thing you can do for yourself emotionally and mentally. We are so distracted these days with social media, we don’t use our brains anymore to problem solve, why? Because we have Google. Going for a long hike out into the wilderness where we are totally disconnected from the world, no TV, no internet, no corner store to replenish your water supply and and grab a snack…instead it leads us to tapping into our own resources, contemplating life itself, soul-searching, realizing that when we are in nature we are home, it’s healing and you will come back feeling refreshed and empowered. . After a long hike you will feel empowered, and have a new found perspective on how to cope with everyday life stresses in a new light. .
